Parliament must discuss atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. What should Pakistan do?

kashmir.jpgI have moved an urgent motion in the National Assembly that Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir should be discussed. There is no reporting of news from inside occupied Kashmir.  Pakistan must urgently carry out steps to develop international opinion in this regard.  We are morally with them, but more needs to be done. The Parliamentary Kashmir committee has been sleeping, and has probably done little to promote the Kashmir cause.

I was disappointed that the only reaction from the Chairman of the Committee, that too coming after so many days was as follows:

مولانا فضل الرحمن، چیئرمین خصوصی کمیٹی برائے کشمیر کی جانب سے مقبوضہ کشمیر میں نوجوانوں کی شہادت پر اظہار تشویش و مذمت

My adjournment motion for urgent discussion in NA is as follows:

12th July 2016

The Speaker,

National Assembly.

Notice of Adjournment under Rule 109

Subject to the provisions of Rule 109, I would like to move a motion for an adjournment of the business of the House for the purpose of an urgent discussion on:

“The atrocities and killings of innocent people carried out by the Indian forces in Indian occupied Kashmir recently. What should Pakistan do?”.

Dr Arif Alvi
