Mr Saad Rafique Minister of Pakistan Railways in a Tweet acknowledged our work regarding Railway School and praised TCF also. I have heard that on 13th October Mr Rafique thanked me publicly on a TV show. When my name is taken, it is only as one leader of this excellent team so I thank you all specially Samar Khan MPA, Samina, Zahid Sahib and many more.
PTI Education team did a fantastic job in rehabilitating the Railway School in NA250 PS113. Since these efforts were undertaken under a tri-partite agreement between us (Dr Arif Alvi MNA & Samar Khan MPA), The Citizen’s Foundation and Ministry of Railways that was signed in July 2015 the enrollment went up to its maximum from 750 students to 1350 students, and remarkably the pass percentage in matric has improved from 19% to 73%.
After the recent rains in Karachi many roads across DHA were in horrid state - with the help of MNA Dr Arif Alvi, MPA Samar Ali Khan and PTI Councillors pursuing these issues with CBC - the CBC team has started repairing these roads and many more to come - Khy-e-Ittehad, Khy-e-Sehr

On Sunday 27th March - the PTI NA250 team invited all donors and supporters to an event at the Railway School, Kalapul to show the work that has been done - raising over 1 crore and 75 Lacs in this last year - the team has completed the entire ground floor and part of the first floor, they remain short of raising another 40 lacs for final completion.
In this last year - PTI NA250 team successfully signed an MOU between Pakistan Railways, The Citizens Foundation & the ICWS (Insaf Community Welfare Society) - The ownership of the school remains entirely of the Pakistan Railway, the TCF comes in as the education partner, while the financial support comes in from the public service NGO ICWS.
A Science Fair was held on 29th May at the Railway School by in coordination between MP's of the area - Dr Arif Alvi, Samar Khan, Khurrum Sher Zaman, Dr Seema Zia and Alif Ailaan.

A four-member parliamentary delegation of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf met the Chief Minister of Sindh to discuss in detail the water crisis that has plagued the city of Karachi. The delegation was led by PTI MPA Samar Ali Khan, Khurram Sherzaman, Hafeezuddin and Dr Seema Zia.

Due to the constant efforts of MPA Samar Ali Khan the residents of Karachi have received another milestone. Rafiqui Shaheed Road, the road that leads into and out of the Jinnah Hospital towards Kalapul and Defence had been in an appalling and dilapidated condition for years. A protest was organised on the afternoon of Sunday, February 8, 2015 against the water authorities for the growing crisis within the city of Karachi. PTI MPAs Samar Ali Khan and Khurrum Sher Zaman were representing their constituencies PS-113 and PS-112 respectively and spoke on the occasion.
A large number of supporters, workers and residents came out onto the streets around Teen Talwar to share their woes that included exorbitant water rates charged by the tanker companies, sewerage/brackish water adulterated with the water supplied by tankers, complete shutdown of water from the mains supply, water bills being paid to Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) regularly when services are not being provided and several other complaints. Omar Farooq Colony is situated on the road that goes from new Kalapul towards old Kalapul & Jinnah Hospital. MPA from PS113 Mr Samar Khan and I (Dr Arif Alvi) visited the area on 16th January 2014 and held a ‘Kutchehry’. The 300 houses community is well organized and they submitted a written list of issues to us for help. There are no lights in the narrow streets so the meeting was held inside a house.Read more
